GIVE CHEAP SILK FLOWERS A RICHER, MORE REALISTIC DRIED FLORAL LOOK USING TEA OR COFFEE... Brew a STRONG, dark pot of tea or coffee, coffee works best and cheap brands are fine. Dip flowers upside down (dunking so plastic stems don't wilt in heat), place them UPSIDE DOWN on a pie tin, set aside to drip dry. The liquid drains and dries leaving edges of petals and leaves darkened, like dried flowers. Also a great way to refresh worn/yardsale florals. I save a fortune using this technique!
