Caramel Apple Layer Cake with Apple Cider Frosting It is perfectly spiced, moist, and delicious. White whole wheat flour could be substituted for the pastry, but I don't suggest using regular whole wheat. It would be too heavy. You'd be better off replacing it with more all-purpose. This is one of those rare recipes where I wouldn't change a thing. I'm making it tonight!
Caramel Apple Crisp - Kind of hard work but it's definately worth it. The caramel is the secret ingredient that makes it so wonderful. I used a bag of Kraft Caramel Bits. It beats unwrapping and cutting up all of those squares!
