Christoph Probst ( 6 November 1919, Murnau am Staffelsee – 22 February 1943, Munich) was a student of medicine and a member of the Weiße Rose resistance group. On 22 February 1943, Christoph Probst and the Scholls were tried and sentenced together at the Volksgerichtshof by judge Roland Freisler. All three were sentenced to death by guillotine. Their sentences were carried out on the very same day at Stadelheim Prison in Munich.

It honors the Jews who were killed by fascist Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest during WW II. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water.
