Greater Hudson Seven P Sedan 1929 - Mad Men Art: The 1891-1970 Vintage Advertisement Art Collection

This photograph was taken in 1923 in the Bay Area. Being California, there are, of course, two lovely damsels and the star of our show, a Peerless Touring car with a stunning two-color paint job. The 3 Ps - Peerless, Piece-Arrow, and Packard - were considered to be the epitome of American luxury automobiles, and each marque was famous for the quality of its materials and the craftsmanship lavished on its products.

1927 Alvis 12/50 TG   According to the Alvis build sheet, car number 10399 chassis was dispatched to Cross & Ellis for coachwork in early March 1927. The chosen style was the wide-body two seater and dickey body. ML2685 caught her first owner’s eye, Mr P Laidlaw of Golders Green London.
