Storage for interactive notebooks in the classroom. These magazine bins can be purchased at any office-supply store (and WalMart) pretty cheaply. Each one holds 10-15 books easily. I've squeezed 17 in one, but it's a tight fit.

Lirette's Learning Detectives: FREE Sharp/Dull Pencil Signs :) *love this because the thumbs match the direction I prefer the pencils. Makes it faster if kids can see sharp points, and I toss ones without eraser left.

Use color tape to organize notebooks...love this. So easy for the kids to keep up with!

Love this idea for using different colored strips of tape to coordinate notebooks and folders for each subject. Red for reading-green for science, etc.

Keep a Binder or Tub ready with all of your sub materials. Items could include emergency fire drill list, dismissal list, phone numbers of important people in the school, how to use the phone (if confusing), computer log-in, important notes about students (such as allergies or things to be aware of), etc. Then all you have to do is add in your sub plans for the specific day you're out.

Sub Tub -- Possible things to include: A Welcome Binder (explaining the daily schedule, where things are in the room and anything the sub might need like computer log-in codes), emergency lesson ideas, great books, games and other activities to do!
