Many of the staff working at Bletchley Park were Wrens (members of the WRNS, Women's Royal Naval Service). In particular, they operated the "bombes" - the electromechanical machines used for automatic decryption of enigma messages. Some of the Wrens were billeted at nearby Woburn Abbey. The photograph is of a re-enactor wearing the uniform of a Third Officer in the WRNS.
