An American Federal Mahogany Cross-Banded and Inlaid Sideboard, c. 1800, Mid-Atlantic, having a shaped backsplash, the swell-front top above drawers and cross-banded cupboards, the stiles with chevron inlaid panels on turned, tapered, reeded legs, with highly figured veneers throughout, poplar and pine secondary woods, height 54 1/2 in., width 71 in., depth 25 1/2 in.

Halifax County, North Carolina Game table - Circa 1790, Mahogany with yellow pine, maple & walnut secondary; swing leg supports leaf; ivory button at center front frame. Attributed to the "WH" cabinetmaking school. This table was purchased by Frank Horton & has been displayed at the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts for the past 15 years. Discussed in the book ‘W H Cabinetmaker, A Southern Mystery Solved’ by  Newbern & Melchor as figure 396, page 254. Attributed to William Seay.

Jeffrey Evans 6/17/17 lot 1337. Est: $400 - 600. Realized: $1,170.  Desc: VALLEY OF VA WALNUT CHIMNEY CUPBOARD, full-length raised panel door, on 3 iron butt hinges, 7 fixed shelves. Pine secondary wood. Early dry surface. Mid 19th c. 85 1/4" H, 25 3/4" W, 12 3/4" D.  Very good condition, wear to underside of front feet causing it to lean slightly, staining above base edge. Provenance: Va collection.

A Southern Federal Inlaid Walnut Cellarette in the Hepplewhite Taste, late 18th c., the lift top opening to yellow pine divided sections, the front with a door opening to a compartment, raised on square tapered legs, door, sides & legs with string inlay. Note: The use of a central door set with a reverse grain seen in this example is also used in other known pieces of Southern case furniture, notably a pine huntboard from Harris Co. Georgia illustrated The Magazine Antiques, May 1976, p. 654
