This is a spread from Jim Rugg and Brian Maruca's Afrodisiac. It's a funny little book published here in Richmond that straddles the line between Blaxploitation homage and design masterpiece. The book reads like a greatest hits compilation of a classic comic book, but the reality is that it's just random stories put together in the last few years all put together in a convincingly retro manner. Such a fun read, and a stunningly beautiful book.
"But Peter Van Houten: The marks humans leave are too often scars" (25, 311). There is no way to control if you will get cancer or not. You get it, you learn from it, and you live with it. There will be people you hurt there will be no way to stop that. Sometimes people just don't realize how much of an affect they can leave and many are not great but you deal with it because you can not take anything back.
