During our first campaign in #Madagascar staff members took a few hours to visit a lemur conservation park just outside of the capital city.  The world lemur comes from a Roman word for “ghosts” likely named because of their #nocturnal habits.

Cataract Statistics on Madgascar

Last month HelpMeSee started their first campaign in Madagascar.

A year ago Alice from Madagascar began to go blind because of cataracts. The flowers in her garden, a hidden gem off the streets of Antananarivo, began to blur and eventually she could no longer make out anything beyond a vague color.    At 69 years old, she was one of the first patients treated in as part of HelpMeSee's partner launch in the country.   Thankfully Alice is back in the garden again, bringing beauty to her world and the sparkle in her eye is back.
