The Straight-billed Woodcreeper (Dendroplex picus) is a species of bird in the woodcreeper subfamily (Dendrocolaptinae). Its genus, Dendroplex, was recently confirmed to be distinct from Xiphorhynchus. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
The Striped Manakin (Machaerop-terus regulus) is a small South American species of bird in the Pipridae family. Its distribution is highly disjunct: The nominate subspecies is found in Atlantic Forest in eastern Brazil, while the striolatus group is found in forests in western Brazil, NE Peru, eastern Ecuador, Colombia, & western & southern Venezuela.
