Yinka Shonibare, MBE (born 1962) is a disabled, British-Nigerian, contemporary artist living in the UK. Yink Shonibare, MBE was born in London in 1962. His family moved to Lagos, Nigeria when he was three. Shonibare contracted transverse myelitis at the age of seventeen. He returned to London to study Fine Art.
