Something frustrated me this morning and I thought, "what am I getting so worked up about? Give yourself a perspective check." It is so easy to naturally go into the vortex of negativity, but all that does is suck you even further into the darkness. It might not be easy to shift your mind back to positive loving thoughts, but it definitely feels better.

Practicing positivity is an absolute for me. I just don't see any other way to live. I don't want to get to the end of my life and say, "I wish I loved the life I lived." Instead, I work at loving life every single day, even when things don't go my way. I wrote Out of The Darkness, Into Light, sharing my story from negativity to positivity because of this belief. The first step to change is accepting, knowing and believing that you are worthy of joy and happiness. The second step is a willingness to change. Once you make the decision, accept it, believe it, and have a deep willingness to change, that is when you will take action to the actual change itself. The need for change, the belief in your worthiness, the willingness for change, and the action for change all have to come together and meet at the same place for change to occur.

I make recipes that bomb, I get stuck in Negative Ville and can’t create a Dose of Positivity, I release a program that requires changes because it was missing something, or I try Facebook Live chat for the first time and ramble on and on because I was so excited and totally missed the point I was trying to make (that happened just this week). But it is not really failure. It’s a learning opportunity.
