Ashkenazi Charoset recipe submitted by a Central Synagogue congregant: This Charoset, a sweet mixture of fruit, nuts, wine and spices, was eaten with the other symbolic foods during the Seder. My mother or father made the Charoset in the early days, but eventually it became my responsibility. I have been making Charoset for Passover (with great pleasure) for about the last 25 years using the following family recipe. This recipe is consistent with Ashkenazi tradition.
