This competition was was initiated by the Trust, to get young people to write personal letters to Prime Minister David Cameron, with the winning letters being published by the Times #newspaper.

I was delighted to read the following article in The Times newspaper, to kick-start http://www.13in13.org.uk/ which was launched on 30 April 2013 by the Anne Frank Trust UK. It's great to see such a positive initiative taking place, which engages with the idea's of Britain's young people & I hope to see an influx of letters from Manchester!!

I was thrilled to raise £122.00 for the #BritishRedCross campaign, which is challenging both #lonliness and the #isolation of elderly people across #Britain. I was delighted to just stand by the front door of a #Cooperative Food Store in #WestDidsbury and armed with nothing but a bucket, accept #donations of loose change from #customers. It was great to be able to contribute this way to the #RedCross and with this cold #winter weather, outreach to our senior citizens is needed more than…

I took this picture of the welcoming committee for the Manchester #History Festival, which was held at the #Manchester Town Hall on the 11/6/2016. Despite the rain and humidity, people came along to see the many #information stalls and listen to a wide range of talks, on the various aspects of #Mancunian life through the ages.

On Sunday 10th May, the #GreatManchesterRun took place in the city of #Manchester, where thousands of people took to the streets in support of their chosen #charities. All of the runners took part in a 10K race, where each person was cheered on by a host of local, national and international organisations. The #Manchester10K is open for everybody,The event is known for its electric atmosphere, combined with a huge outpouring of generosity.

A #refugeeswelcome rally was held in #Manchester, where a hundreds of people gathered in the city centre, to support the men, women and children who are caught up in the #RefugeeCrisis. People praised the efforts of those in #Europe, who are working to show support with those who are fleeing war zones like #Iraq, #Syria and #Afghanistan.

Aid to the #Church in Need, have launched their #BakeOff for #Iraq.which is fantastic way of engaging with #children and young people, in a #positive way of helping those displaced in #refugee camps. The http://www.acnuk.org/bake-off  is also a great way to get people motivated and inspired, while #promoting a positive #community response to global affairs.
