Original suggestion is "nail polish + recycled lightbulbs for garden art." I think they'd make cute Christmas ornaments, and there has to be better paint and glazes than nail polish, with its tiny brushes.

Old glass sconce globe, a cheap $1 solar light (stake removed), some wire and a shepherds hook.  Easy and cheap landscape lighting.

Make garden light with solar lights and old ceiling fan light globes ~ Garden Lights~ [pinning for my own later use - I have so many of those old light cover things.

Pinner Quote: Junk garden art. Use a 100% clear silicone glue or Lexel adhesive on clean, dry areas for best results. Make sure the adhesive you use is weather resistant. I think Lexel is the best for this project though it takes up to 30 days to cure completely.

Old plates turned flowers will bloom all summer long. Like this idea! I have tons of old plates and glassware!
