The Essential by Herbert List

The harlequin poison frog (Oophaga histrionica) is a highly variable species of poison dart frog with a native range in Ecuador and Colombia. The frog is normally found on the ground of tropical rain forests, among fallen limbs or leaf litter. The male and female have a complex courtship ritual, which includes a 2 to 3 hour long sequence of various sitting, bowing (only done by the female), crouching, touching, and circling behaviors.
