Wolfmueller's Building. Circa 1900.  The ground floor and basement were operated as the J.R. Barnett General Merchandise Store and Saddle Shop from 1907 to 1945.  Mr. and Mrs. Barnett resided on the second floor in addition to an 8-room boarding house. Albert and Charlotte Wolfmueller and, later, Jon and Sandy Wolfmueller operated a men's clothing store on the ground floor from 1946 to 1994.  The historical covered balcony was added in 2001.

Arcadia Theatre.  Opened in 1926 for live performances and silent movies.  Bluegrass legend Jimmy Rodgers performed here.  Many Kerrville residents still remember Agnes Colley, who played piano during the picture shows and organ for the First Presbyterian Church.  The Arcadia closed in 1988 after many years as a movie theater.  Currently undergoing restoration.

Creed Taylor, During the Texas Revolution, Taylor participated in the Battle of Gonzales, the "Grass Fight", the Battle of Conception, the Storming of Béxar and the Battle of San Jacinto, but that was not the end of his fighting days. He took part in the Battle of Plum Creek, fighting against the Comanches in 1840 and fought the Indians in several other battles as a Texas Ranger under Captain Jack Hayes. Read story here

Sid Peterson. 1868-1939.  Born in Lavaca County, but moved with his family to Kerr County in 1882.  Broke horses for the Schreiner Ranch, drove cattle on the Chisholm Trail and cleared land for the railroad.  Pioneer rancher.
