Wolfmueller's Building. Circa 1900. The ground floor and basement were operated as the J.R. Barnett General Merchandise Store and Saddle Shop from 1907 to 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Barnett resided on the second floor in addition to an 8-room boarding house. Albert and Charlotte Wolfmueller and, later, Jon and Sandy Wolfmueller operated a men's clothing store on the ground floor from 1946 to 1994. The historical covered balcony was added in 2001.
Arcadia Theatre. Opened in 1926 for live performances and silent movies. Bluegrass legend Jimmy Rodgers performed here. Many Kerrville residents still remember Agnes Colley, who played piano during the picture shows and organ for the First Presbyterian Church. The Arcadia closed in 1988 after many years as a movie theater. Currently undergoing restoration.
