Mountaineer canteen, commissioned as an original piece by William Armstrong. I made eight of these canteens based on one depicted in a painting by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tate called 'Trapper Looking Out' (1853). The original painting is now housed in the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
