Navy PO1. Nicolas D. Checque, 28, of Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Died December 8, 2012, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to SEAL Team Six, an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit. Died near Kabul, Afghanistan, of combat related injuries during a successful raid to free Dr. Dilip Joseph of Colorado who was being held captive by the Taliban. Honor him.

Died in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, from injuries inflicted by small arms fire while supporting stability operations.
