A very fun moment last Wed, May 22nd, when both my novels from 2012 won Selah Awards at Blue Ridge AND on my Birthday. And the icing on the cake (sorry for the pun) both novels received PERFECT scores from all the judges.
This book is a true story. It attempts to explain how German society allowed the Nazis to come to power. Even better is that it's told from the perspective of the American ambassador (a University of Chicago professor) and his young adult daughter. American view into early WW2. Out of all books I've read about that period, this is one of my favorites.
This is Dan's 12th novel and his first indie-published novel. It has done so well, Dan has made it the Book 1 in the Jack Turner suspense series (Book 2 is Remembering Dresden). He will still continue to write the kind of novels he is best known for.
