Henry US Survival Rifle, AR-7: Leave it to Henry Rifles to take a design and improve upon it. The AR-7 was the civilian version of an Air Force survival rifle designed by Eugene Stoner, which Henry acquired the rights to circa 2007. As you can see from the picture, the rifle disassembles and fits into its own buttstock which is “water resistant” (Henry claims it will float and it may but don’t bet on it).

I had game boards showing the pictures (minus the letters). As they found the pictures (which were taped around the room), they filled in the letters from the pictures. The final saying is "Read You Should!" "

What did your snowman do at night? Make a writing page sheet with the words My snowman .... Then draw the picture the way you see it here. Have kids brainstorm what their snowman did at night. Then they can copy the words on a post-it to finish the sentence. Have them read it to the group later in the day. Makes a nice center.

I'm picturing the living room closed off to the right. I'm picturing this being taken while standing in the mud room/backyard. Small, homey and complete! Clicking on the picture shows all! It is a closed off kitchen and dining but a big wall window to see the kids in the living room. The bathroom at the end of the hall? Perfection.
