OMG! Stop over analyzing Disney Princesses! Growing up with these movies I never got any of these messages. Besides, in the end I'm my daughters' greatest female role model. We have fun enjoying this entertainment but in the end I teach my girls' values.

It's just so so so true! Even though I love this Disney movie, I can help but wondering, how can little girls, watching this movie, not have body image issues with such character?

The idea of what is considered "beautiful" to society changes every five to ten years, but in some ways it's elements remain the same: it expects women to work towards acheiving whatever body image may be popular in the moment.
