Pope Francis sent a message to the Pontifical Academy for Life February 20 as the Academy marked its 20th Anniversary with a General Assembly and Workshop focusing on the theme of “Aging and Disability.” In his message addressed to the President of the Academy, Bishop Ignacio Carrasco De Paula, the pope encouraged the Academy’s continued pro-life work even when that requires “moving against the current.”

In his daily homily, Pope reflected on different models of Christian witness, cautioning the faithful against hypocrisy when they evangelize, and encouraging them to imitate Jesus.
