San Mateo County Memorial Park Campground near SF bay, CA: Love the deep tree cover and the hiking trails. Sites are spacious, owners of the concession/store are friendly (only open in summer ). Ranger staff very good, too. Sites have lots of parking, HUGE metal, anti-critter storage lockers, firepits. Nearby water spigots have tasty, clean, safe water. Bathrooms and showers (quarters required) were nearby and clean.
Mammoth Cave National Park was established on July 1941 to preserve the cave system, including Mammoth Cave, the scenic river valleys of the Green and Nolin rivers, and a section of south central Kentucky.
