When Horatio and the king receive letters from Hamlet indicating that the prince has returned to Denmark after pirates attacked his ship en route to England, Claudius concocts a plan to use Laertes’ desire for revenge to secure Hamlet’s death. Laertes will fence with Hamlet in innocent sport, but Claudius will poison Laertes’ blade so that if he draws blood, Hamlet will die.

This is how I perceived the Ghost of King Hamlet. It would make sense for the Ghost to appear in a haunting manner, as it seems to instill a level of terror in the characters who seem him. As for the characters saying that it looks like the King, that could be referring to the face within the hood. This also keeps the Ghost shrouded in mystery, as Hamlet did not knew whether the Ghost was truly of his father or of some benevolent spirit trying to coax Hamlet into murdering an innocent man.

This is how I perceived the Ghost of King Hamlet. Though I have never seem him before, the night Hamlet saw him was the same night he frightened me with his dramatic act of revelation.

Poison is used by several characters in Hamlet to kill others including Gertrude, Claudius, Laertes, and Hamlet. The poison is concealed in different ways- on a pearl, the end of a sword, and in a drink to make sure it reached its recipient.

This bottle of poison represents the death of Hamlet, Claudius, Gertrude, and Laertes. All died by either drinking it or being punctured by it.

Pearl Elizabethan Heart Lock Necklace. Ophelia to Hamlet: "I have remembrances of yours I have longed long to redeliver... Rich gifts wax poor when givers prove unkind." This necklace looks like something she may have tried to return to Hamlet when he begins acting cruelly towards her.
