Extremely rare silver dirham of 'Alid revolt of Ibrahim b. Abdullah and his brother Muhammad Nafs al-Zakiyya against the 'Abbasid. Dated 145 AH and minted in al-Basra, this coin has the standard obverse, but unique reverse, with just Allah / ahad / ahad in the field. The reverse margin text is from the Qur'an, Verse 17:81, ja' al-haqq wa zahaqa al-batil inn al-batil kana zuhuqan, "truth has come and falseness has vanished, for surely, falseness is ever bound to vanish."
