When breastfeeding, mothers need to be very careful about their diet. This is because babies have specific reactions to food. When breastfeeding, avoid too much of dairy, if your child cries incessantly for hours. Limit your caffeine intake if your baby is having difficultly sleeping. In general, avoid unhealthy food and opt for nutritious snacks like fruits, vegetables, boiled potatoes and chicken. Have lots of fluids like buttermilk or nimbu pani, as these are filled with vitamins.
