The focal piece in this russian leaves beaded necklace was an amazing hand painted find at an antique store. It was originally a pin but I had a different idea. I removed the backing, glued it to a small piece of stiff stuff so I could bead around it in order to have a base for attaching the leaves. Antique stores and yard sales are great places to find beautiful pieces like this...you just need to use your imagination!
my fringe passion seemed to be a little out of control a few years ago...found this one in my upstairs bead area...you can clearly see how the long leaf fringing follows the color line of the twisted herringbone.
