I was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. My counseling told me the Prozac Rx medicine would help me with my flashbacks and depression. After 3 weeks, my flashbacks and depression started going away. But I didn’t notice that it affected me badly. I ended up abused drugs, alcohol and mostly important, myself. I saw Prozac Nation on T.V. and it inspired me, I threw my RX medicine away.
I believe that media and my own personal beliefs about purpose are kind of the same. For example, The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie is about a kid who thinks he's worthless, has no friends, and is depressed. He finds who he fits in with and becomes happy and feels like he actually has a purpose in life. Having a purpose means feeling wanted, loved, and happy.
