I STRONGLY agree with this cartoon. Legalizing it is only the first step; there should be restrictions on its recreational use so that those who have no business with it have no access to the substance. It seems to be extremely fair. There is nothing that ridicules anyone involved (governor Hicken Looper, the political parties etc.). It seems to sum up what needs to be done about marijuana fairly well.
I agree with the meaning(s); legalizing marijuana would essentially kill drug cartels because illegal, smuggled weed would no longer be needed if it was legally available. It seems fair enough, except for the fact that carnies are usually seen as dishonest and untrustworthy, so to use one isn't the best idea. It seems to condense a lot of points together sufficiently.
I don't agree with what is shown in this cartoon. It suggest that regardless of whether marijuana is legalized or not, people are going to make bad decisions about what they consume. It seems fair as the only difference between the two halves is the headline and dialogue, but the intentions are misguided. It does not condense the issue of decriminalizing marijuana at all; it covers only the supposed negative effects and conservative views.
