In Lesson Four, we are looking at how to embroider a circle in long and short stitch, in such a way that it looks shaded. Now, there are a couple different ways to go about this, depending on the type of shaded circle you are trying to achieve. For me, personally, when I’m looking at needle painting, I’m looking at achieving a realistic effect with the long and short stitch. But for others, the two-dimensional flat effect is what they want.
