THE TRANSFIGURATION OF CHRIST -  RUSSIAN, 17TH CENTURY -  Standing on the summit of Mount Tabor, flanked by the Prophets Elijah and Moses, both bending towards him, three rays directed from Christ's body towards the disciples in the lower part of the image, the golden haloes of the figures standing out against the alternate greens and browns that dominate the composition 8¾ x 7 in. (22.2 x 17.7 cm)
