2 of my favorite corrective exercises for people with desk jobs or anyone with stiff thoracic spine (upper back). First is the longitudinal foam roller. Using a snow angel pattern, great for relaxing the muscles around the spine & helps with thoracic extension. Start with 2mins & work up to 15 mins. Second corrective exercise is a 4 point thoracic rotation movement. Do 2 X 10 each side.
Perform as many reps of each move as possible for 1 minute, then go to the next without resting. Repeat the sequence once, for a total of 16 minutes. Do the workout three or four times weekly, and record your reps to chart success.
