Love the math wall she made - great alternative to writing these on the white board everyday...states objectives for the day, topic of the day, etc. Can even add a word wall...hmmm...

I already do something similar with an old paper box, but I never thought to affix it to the wall.  We'll see about that.

Having a "First Five Minutes" poster gives students a sense of direction when they walk into the classroom. Although it will take a few weeks and lots of reminding to get students into the routine, giving them a task and a sense of responsibility when they walk into the room can redirect their behavior, especially after lunch or recess.
