Necklace Description Necklace of gold enamelled links set with pearls, rubies and garnets dating to late 16th or early 17th century it is part of a collar which belonged to the Seton family it is said to have been gifted by Mary Queen of Scots prior to her death in 1587 to her companion Mary Seton © National Museums Scotland. PENDANT IN THE FORM OF A BETROTHAL CASKET. Inscribed in the lid: QVOS DEVS CONIVNXIT HOMO NE SEPARET and monogrammed: TMHC and MVGIE partially enamelled gold set with rubies, emeralds and later pearls. German, late 16th/ early 17th century.
