The original intent for Fire vs. Ice fairy, I need background ideas, please help :)

These started out as cheap white plastic body parts. I used black plastic garbage bags and a heat gun to create the wrinkled skin. Then, either dark woodstain or flat camo spray paint to cover the shine. Several colors of spray paint and then finishing touches of craft paint for the colors. Then a covering of matte sealant to finish it off. I'm not sure if they should have been lighter in color to show up better in the dark.

Sprayed the inside with stove paint and found some high heat resistant paint to finish it off... colour is RAF Grey Blue
