Eyre Hall Gardens, Eastern Shore, Virginia, USA--Eyre Hall is one of Virginia's best-preserved colonial era homes. Its gardens which are among the nation's oldest were started around 1800. The bricks making up the garden wall were brought as ballast from England. There are several hidden spots with benches nestled in quaint groves of ridiculously old boxwood trees. Flowers abound along with bunnies, birds, and plenty of butterflies. It's like Eden.
