Herb Ford, 86, founded the Pitcairn Islands Study Center at Pacific Union College in Angwin, north of St. Helena in Napa County, in 1977. City Winery is officially coming to downtown Napa. Founder and CEO Michael Dorf says that he has finalized the deal to take over the landmark Napa Valley Opera House. “We have the honor to be taking over the Opera House on Main Street,” Dorf says. For those unfamiliar with City Winery, it’s a combination 300-seat music venue, events space, restaurant and urban winery.
