(Feb. 19, 2006)   ATHENS, Ohio - KERMIT BLOSSER passed away on the evening of February 18, 2006, at the Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains, Ohio. Ohio University's first national champion in any sport, Blosser had recently celebrated his 95th birthday.  Kermit, the son of a rail worker, was born on Feb. 1, 1911, and raised in Enterprise, Ohio.
