Altoids Tin Bread Bake (Survival Bread) 1/2 c. self rising flour. drizzle of olive oil and dash of salt (optional). water to make dough...oil tin...place dough..cook 12 to 15 min. over two tea candles or small penny stove. Good idea to clean all paint off outside of tin with sandpaper or wire brush before using as cooking utensil.
Old Fashioned Fermented Garlic Dill Pickles | Until I started making fermented pickles I was always struggling to get the pickle taste I remembered growing up with in our family. Obviously vinegar brines were not the method my Baba had used now that I've made fermented dill pickles. The method seems a little intimidating(scary) at first but in the end the taste can't be beat ...nor the crunch.
