Gunther von Hagens' various works. The creator of the plastination process that preserves tissues by replacing the water in the body with polymers. His work blends science, biology, sculpture, and social taboos into an amazing experience. The works that feature pregnant women can be difficult to see, but at the same time elegant and respectfully done. It is one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever had the privilege to see in person.
