An initiative by Maldon District Council to bring the district’s empty homes back to life has exceeded expectations.
Tony Briggs has been named national Empty Homes Practitioner Of The Year for bringing over 140 homes back into use in Derby in 2012-13. Bringing the properties back into use meant Derby City Council qualified for a £1.1 million payment from the Government to invest into the city's housing.
