William "Wild Bill" Guarnere in a World War II-era photograph. Mr Guarnere was a member of Easy Company in the 101st Airborne Divison, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Regiment, Easy Company - more famously known as the "Band of Brothers." Mr. Guarnere who earned a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars in the war also lost his leg during the Battle of the Bulge. He died on March 8, 2014 at the age of 90.
