Vivien Leigh, the 24th (and 12th) actress to win the Academy Awards' Best Actress Oscar (Streetcar Named Desire, 1951). 2nd of two for her. Married to Sir Laurence Olivier. For much of her adult life, Leigh suffered from bipolar disorder. She also suffered recurrent bouts of chronic tuberculosis, which ultimately claimed her life at the age of 53. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Leigh as the 16th greatest female movie star of all time.
