Hidden away in the mountains of Forsand, Norway, are these new mountain lodges designed by KOKO architects. to be used by hikers. The group of buildings includes a main building, sleeping cabins, a toilet with a storage room and a sauna.
The cabins were created by Gracia Studio, a firm with a passion for creating economical architecture, with a particular interest in using modular and flexible buildings. The eco-friendly cabins are raised off the ground to minimize their impact on the landscape. Constructed from Corten steel and wood, they are designed to intentionally weather over time, eventually blending seamlessly with the hills on which they are staggered.
