His numerous characters, including Clem Kaddiddlehopper, George Appleby, and the seagulls Gertrude and Heathcliffe. The Red Skeleton Hour tv show debuted in 1951 and he entertained and delighted audiences for 2 decades until 1971.

I surely do admire all of the comedians that have made me laugh and cheered me up, like Red skelton....This reminds me of the pure hearted laughs I have had just watching small children imitate adults!!! I sure wish that I had set a better example often times!!!
