I (Rosie) have had an amazing past week in London with friends and family  And whilst Im not someone who likes setting ourselves new resolutions I do think a new year offers us opportunities to look over what weve learnt and loved doing and things that maybe we beat ourselves up for time and time again  being a vegan is one of the proudest things in my life and its so wonderful to stand up for something I so strongly believe in. Veganism isnt the only sustainability…

Milky Way Galaxy looming over Wilson Beach in Australia ~ The mystery of why the Milky Way has always been sideways in the night sky may have been answered. Scientists from University of VA and MA announced that the Sun, the Moon, our planet and its siblings, were not born into the familiar band of stars known as the Milky Way galaxy, but we actually belong to a strange formation with the unfamiliar name of the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy!

Cucumber Tree -  Dendrosicyos Socotranus - This tree is only found on Socotra Island in Yemen. The island is very isolated and, through the process of speciation, a third of its plant life is found nowhere else on the planet. 700 unique species have been recorded since documentation began. It has been described as the most alien-looking place on Earth and is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Fly Geyser (Nevada, US)  These look as if they were taken on another planet, or at least on the set of a new and very expensive science fiction movie. Yet these pictures are of the Fly Geyser which is very much of planet earth (Nevada, US to be exact). The geyser can be found in Hualapai Valley near Gerlach. It is a little seen phenomenon as the land upon which it sits is private. It can be seen from State Road 34 but unless you have permission the view from a distance is all you should…
