Easy, fresh, low-cal, yummy! I've been making this for 10+ years & everyone loves it! Broth is clear & light, with zingy flavor from the fresh lime juice. It's called "SPICY TORTILLA SOUP" (Real Simple magazine), but honestly it's not spicy at all if you seed & dice the jalapenos. Try it!
Clear Onion Soup (like Japanese steakhouse). I used this recipe except it needed something: some beef boullion. I used a 1/2 cube to 1c water. Also I think I will use sauteed mushrooms next time. I did cook them in the broth for a while which made em better, but sauteed will be best. Topped with Frech's fried onions instead. Very good!
