Ötzi The Iceman ~ Ötzi is a well-preserved natural mummy of a man who lived around BCE. He was found in the Ötztal Alps on the Austrian–Italian border. A couple years ago, Ötzi’s genome was sequenced using a pelvic bone sample weighing just grams.

Otzi the Iceman (also spelled Oetzi and known also as Frozen Fritz) is the modern nickname of a well-preserved natural mummy of a man from about 3300 BC, found in 1991 in a glacier of the Otztal Alps, near the border between Austria and Italy.
