Clarence H. Mackay (c. 1910) with his children Ellin (Mrs. Irving Berlin), Katherine and John W. Their mother, Katherine Duer Mackay was an intimate of Consuelo Vanderbilt and her mother Alva Belmont. The three of them would be among the most prominent members of society to actively support women's suffrage.
Three women (Jennie Parsons Kelly, left, and Lena Eisenback Post, center, and an unidentified woman on the right) on Main Street in front of a Chinese laundry. They wear elaborate hats and carry parasols (c. 1895). I love how happy they all look - one doesn't see smiles in street photos from this era all that often. It's a wonderful treat. #vintage #Victorian #street_photography #women #fashion
